We ask that new guide volunteers shadow a few programs, before we offer a training and orientation to this volunteer experience. Please complete a Volunteer Application and Waiver.

We will be hosting two Open Houses at Hidden Villa this summer for those who are interested in becoming a volunteer guide with Hidden Villa (choose one to attend):
  • Saturday, August 3rd (9AM-11:30AM)
  • Wednesday, August 21st (9AM-11:30AM)
When you attend one of these sessions, you will hear from some of our existing guides and learn more about being an educational volunteer at Hidden Villa. You do not need to RSVP - just come to the one that works best for your schedule.

Candidate Qualifications

We're looking for volunteers interested in sharing their love of the outdoors with students from all 9 counties around the Bay Area. Experience as a formal or informal educator is helpful, but not required. Being able to commit to a regular, weekly shift, is crucial in this role, though with advanced notice of vacations or time away, we can accommodate volunteers with busy lives.
