(1/11 & 2/8) Fun with Fungus Fundamentals, Part 1

Description

A playful introduction to the awesomely strange, wonderful, and utterly essential world of the fungi. This class will be based on slides and collected specimens to prepare us for follow-up field days on January 25 or February 22 (choose either or both). Participants will learn about the major types of fungi, how to identify them, how to make a spore print, best practices for collecting, safety considerations, and more. Each class may be taken singly, but pairing the 2 class parts is highly recommended.
