Get your body moving with a morning hike through the hills, bring a picnic, visit the farm animals, photograph the surrounding beauty, and just enjoy a relaxing time at your community gem. A great time for all will be had connecting to what is truly important.

Thankful Trees

In the spirit of giving thanks, how better to show our appreciation for our lives and the natural world around us than by making Thankful Trees! Come by and make your own thankful tree using natural materials and getting the chance to express what you are thankful for. Thankful Trees can make a lovely gift for a loved one, or serve as a reminder to you to always be grateful. This program is covered by your entrance fee or season pass and will take place at the picnic tables near the Education Garden. 

This program is FREE and will repeat at 1:30 pm.

Earth's Child

Earth’s Child

A Family-friendly nature program for children, ages 0-10

If you are craving a way to connect with the land through gentle guided nature hikes, to learn about Herbal medicine and preventative care, and to enjoy seasonal earth medicine practices, join us. We will share handmade communal meals and create meaningful crafts in this play program designed to honor nature, the elements, our children, and the child within ourselves. Meets every other Wednesday.

Sign up for one or sign up for multiple dates! Drop-ins welcome for an additional 10/adult.

About Teacher Anya Tyutyunik: Anya is a local healer and herbalist, practicing Classical Chinese medicine, acupuncture, functional therapy as well as earth and plant medicine, the founder of the Women's Healing Conference, and mom of three young boys.

Perennial Yoga Class

Perennial Yoga Class with Amanda Rees (RYT 200)
This vinyasa yoga class is designed to connect mind, body and breath through a gentle, flowing sequence of poses. Expect a class that cultivates greater awareness, strength and balance. Classes are open to all levels (beginners welcome).  
 
Classes take place in the Dana Center. Please bring your own yoga mat, towel and water bottle.

Amanda has a background in dance and movement, and is trained in ballet, modern and samba, with a certificate in dance from Princeton University. She has been practicing yoga for over 10 years and is passionate about connecting and sharing this practice with others.

Winter Holidays on the FARM

KIDS ONLY Class, ages 6- 12

Have you ever wondered what farm kids do in chilly Winter? Come visit the farm and celebrate the winter season with us in an old-fashioned way! Collect lovely smelling pine and cedar from our forest to decorate your own handmade beeswax candles, make pretty ornaments with sheep wool too - nice gifts to give your special grownups. Decorate beautiful cookies with organic, naturally colored icing and wrap them up to give as wonderful gifts ... or eat right away!

Have winter fun while your grownup goes for a hike on our trails, or gets some holiday elf work done!

Women's FULL MOON Circle

Join a group of inspiring women to tap into wisdom and co-create sacred space. Connect and commune with creative feminine energy, the Moon, singing frogs, hooting owls, Stars, Air, Earth, Fire, Water: The Greater Web of Life. From a place of safety, warmth and honoring, we can share, learn, give, receive, open, renew and grow. We will be outdoors around a fire except if it is a spare the air day, raining or extremely cold then we will be indoors. Solstice FAMILY FUN

At Winter Solstice, all around the world, people celebrate The Longest Night … and the promise of Spring days ahead. Come join us for a fun afternoon to learn what Solstice is through stories, games, music, and crafts of the season. Make a beeswax candle, a traditional clove pomander, contribute to the wish chain to decorate our oak tree and learn the science behind Solstice (and why Winter happens!) We’ll close with a group circle, to wish each other a happy and warm Springtime to come. Great for the whole family. Children 2 and younger, no charge.

Easy Baking: Irish Soda Bread

Afternoon Cow Wow

Ages 5 and up. Come help us milk Vida the Cow! Learn fun cow facts while you help feed and care for our dairy queen. In the milking parlor, you will work with a trained professional and practice proper hand milking techniques. Then we will measure how much milk is produced, then filter the milk and prepare it for storage. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Only paid registrants enter our very small milk house - this is a very hands-on experience!

Pricing
Rates stated as "per person" apply to both adults and children. Unless otherwise noted in program description, child rates apply to ages 2-12 and children UNDER 2 are free. Senior rate applies to ages 65 and up. Must present valid student identification to receive student discount. Limited Income option is for those who cannot otherwise afford to register. If you would like to apply for a scholarship for any of our programs, send a request to: communityprograms@hiddenvilla.org.

Full refund 30 days before event. 50% refund if requested 8 days or more before the event. No refunds 7 days or less prior to the event.
