Paper Lanterns - Movie Showing (Fri. 25 May, 2018 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm)

Join us at the Community School for Music and Arts (CSMA) for a special screening of the documentary film Paper Lanterns, the story of American POWs in Hiroshima and Shigeaki Mori, the man who spent his life remembering them.

Learn more about this amazing story through this powerful film, followed by a Q&A session featuring Mr. Mori, the film’s subject, Barry Frechette (director), Chad Cannon (composer), and Peter Grilli (producer).

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to relax and fall asleep under the stars here at the farm? Join us for an overnight family camp-out!  

Meet us Saturday afternoon to pitch your tent and after a relaxing afternoon in nature, enjoy a catered barbecue dinner and campfire program with songs and stories for the whole family. Wake up to bird song and continental breakfast. Come with your friends, make new friends too - we’re excited to offer this special program for up to 30 people maximum. Recommended for those who have tent camping experience

Calling all backyard gardeners, farmers, makers, fermenters, and foragers!

Hidden Villa is hosting its inaugural Homesteader’s Faire, a free, public event featuring good conversation, topical demonstrations, local food, music, and activities for the whole family. Join friends and neighbors as we build community around intentional living, stewardship, and self-reliance! Tickets are free but registration is required to receive a parking pass.

This event will also feature:

~ Local hobbyists and professionals excited to answer your questions about bees, chickens, dairying, gardening, native plants, preserving, fermenting, fiber crafts and tanning, brewing, herbal remedies, wild foods, and meat curing

~ Hands-on demonstrations

~ Food for purchase from our friends at Oaxcan Kitchen, made with Hidden Villa pork and produce

~ Music from local artists Ziggy Bates and Vibrance

~ Docent-led animal tours, crafts, and games for kids

Come get creative and make beautiful magic wands! You'll use natural materials and lovely wool yarn to make your very own unique creations to take home.

No registration required. This program is covered by your entrance fee or Season Pass and will take place at the picnic tables near the Education Garden.

This program is included in your day fee or season pass. This program will repeat at 1 pm.

Women's FULL MOON Circle (Sun. 27 May, 2018 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm)

Join a group of inspiring women to tap into wisdom and co-create sacred space. Connect and commune with creative feminine energy, the Moon, singing frogs, hooting owls, Stars, Air, Earth, Fire, Water: The Greater Web of Life. From a place of safety, warmth and honoring, we can share, learn, give, receive, open, renew and grow. We will be outdoors around a fire except if it is a spare the air day, raining or extremely cold then we will be indoors. This circle is for women and teen girls, and not always appropriate for little ones. If you wish to bring a younger girl, please check with Facilitator Katherine Glasa first. QUESTIONS? Rates stated as "per person" apply to both adults and children. Unless otherwise noted in program description, child rates apply to ages 2-12 and children UNDER 2 are free. Senior rate applies to ages 65 and up. Must present valid student identification to receive student discount. Limited Income option is for those who cannot otherwise afford to register.
