Animal Husbandry Manager

Virginia Audet (she/her)

Animal Husbandry Manager

Virginia grew up in the Bay Area and has always known that she would work with animals as a profession. She came to Hidden Villa as an Animal Husbandry Intern to develop her skills for a future career as a large animal veterinarian, but she fell hard for farming instead. She is both proud and honored to shepherd the animals through every milestone, from breeding to birthing to harvest. She loves the challenge of using animals creatively to achieve land management goals, and enjoys training aspiring farmers through the intern program. Virginia believes in Hidden Villa’s commitment to regenerative agriculture and finds joy in raising food for the community. She thinks that there is no view more spectacular than the sheep grazing against the backdrop of the foothills on a sunny day. Like most farmers, she loves to cook and eat. She is also an avid knitter and fiber enthusiast. Her favorite mission-related book is For the Love of Soil by Nicole Masters.
