Steven Chen

Steven Chen is a Bay Area native, born and raised in the suburbs of West San Jose. His first encounter with Hidden Villa was at the age of 7, during a second grade field trip centered around world conservation and outdoor education. As he grew up, he joined the Boys Scouts of America at the very first opportunity possible in sixth grade. With monthly camping trips and numerous backpacking journeys to America’s backcountry, this has furthered his continued appreciation for the outdoors. Following his graduate degree from Cornell, he now works in the biotechnology industry as an engineering project manager at Versa Engineering, managing engineering and construction projects that impact the purity of drugs delivered to cancer patients. Helping others and the environment has always been a part of his core beliefs.
