Sally is a volunteer and philanthropist, working with organizations that further understanding of healthy environments, build community, and educate about the power of an inclusive and just world. In addition to serving on Hidden Villa’s Board, her volunteer activities include chairing the advisory board of the Rosalie Rendu Center in East Palo Alto and advising two committees of the Junior League of Palo Alto · Peninsula. She is an alum of the National Advisory Board at the Haas Center for Public Service at Stanford. Sally earned her undergraduate degree from Stanford University in Human Biology in 1975, then moved to Los Angeles, where she began a career in investment sales. She managed the Fed funds account for the Investment Department of a Texas bank, then moved to London, England, with her husband, where she worked for Bank of America and Banker’s Trust selling bonds to institutional accounts. Her love for Hidden Villa stems from her upbringing in nature in Lake Tahoe.
