Christina is a Southern California native and grew up in Monterey Park, CA. Christina comes from a background in both outdoor and indoor education. She was a founding member and the Director of Science and Math at Tessellations School, and she taught science to third and fourth graders at Helios School. As a naturalist, Christina interned with San Mateo Outdoor Education and then led groups of students on week-long experiences with Exploring New Horizons. She has a masters in Conservation Biology from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia, and completed her undergraduate degree at UCLA in Ecology, Behavior, and Evolution. Hidden Villa’s mission and history of social justice and activism resonate with Christina’s values. Christina loves getting to see Hidden Villa through the eyes of her two young daughters who never fail to lend new perspective to phenomenons previously taken for granted. As a fiber enthusiast, Christina loves lambing season and can’t wait to help process wool. Christina’s favorite mission related book is”A Pedagogy of Place: Outdoor Education for a Changing World” and “The Intersectional Environmentalist”.
