Jason’s family moved around all over the East Coast when he was younger. He lived in nine different places before going to college. Moving around made him want to put down roots. To this end, he has been farming organically and regeneratively for 25 years, 16 of them at Hidden Villa. After farming independently for 9 years, the idea of farming with the support of an environmental nonprofit was great! At Hidden Villa, Jason especially loves the sunset sky from the lower fields. He loves hiking at Hidden Villa especially when the creeks are running! Jason also loves improvisational cooking with seasonal farm food. He loves hanging out with the pigs when they are down on wood chips in the lower fields, and eating every single fruit exactly as it grows ripe! And the blossom of the ageratum flower! His favorite mission related book is The Soil Will Save Us by Kristin Ohlson.
