Jeffrey Hare

Jeffrey Hare is a Lecturer teaching Land Use and Planning Law in the
Department of Urban and Regional Planning at San Jose State University,
and will also be teaching Environmental Law in the Department of
Environmental Studies in the Fall. Previously, Jeff has taught at Berkeley
Law School, and Santa Clara University School of Law. He is a practicing
attorney and mediator in private practice, with a focus on the area of real
estate and land use transactions. Jeff has over 15 years; experience working
in the public sector for multiple local jurisdictions in the Bay Area. In addition to his law degree from Santa Clara University School of Law, Jeff holds a Masters Degree in Systems Management from the University of Southern California, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from San Jose State University. Jeff is a licensed broker and a member of the Mediation panel for the California Association of Realtors, and was recently appointed to the Assessment Appeals Board for the County of Santa Clara. In 2022, Mr. Hare was appointed to
the Independent Monitoring Committee for the Santa Clara Valley Water District, and has served as the Chair for two years. Mr. Hare is a member of the Board of the California Chapter of the American Planning Association, and is a member of the Board of the California Planning Foundation. Mr. Hare is an active member of the Rotary Club of San Jose, and has over 20 years of active involvement in Scouting in Santa Clara County. He hopes to find lots of prospective Eagle Projects at Hidden Villa for the boys and girls in his Scout Troops.
