Description
As a donor circle member, you're invited to beat the crowds during our annual Sheep Shearing Event. Arrive at 9:30 A.M. and join us on the Duveneck House lawn for coffee and breakfast treats before the festivities begin! If you're not able to arrive early, we'll still be there with hot coffee and treats so feel free to come by and say hello.
As we celebrate our sheep herd's annual haircut, learn about their wool fiber, spinning process, and crafts. There will be opportunities to get up close and personal with all our friendly farm animals. You will get to see our artisans' work on wool processing and spinning.
Afterward, explore the education garden, participate in archery lessons, and learn about blacksmithing with live demonstrations from our skilled instructors. Take a tour of the historic Duveneck home. Visit the arts & crafts station, educational stations, artisan market, and enjoy food and drinks while supporting local businesses.
General registration entry times are at 10 A.M. or 12 P.M. The festivities end at 3 PM, but you're welcome to enjoy the farm until we close around dusk.
