Your
Child's Hidden Villa Trip
Hidden
Villa's Environmental Education Program is based on the philosophy
of founders Frank and Josephine Duveneck who believed that if
we are to become thoughtful caretakers of our planet, we must
provide our children with the opportunities to experience the
beauty of our environment first hand and to understand the interrelatedness
of all living things.
Your
child will be spending the day at Hidden Villa hiking in the
wilderness, working in the children's organic garden, and visiting
friendly farm animals in groups of 6-8 children under the supervision
of trained Hidden Villa staff or docents. During
their trip, students make important ecological observations that
can support academic learning back at school, become excited
about exploring their natural world and make
connections between
new knowledge about the environment and their own lives.
