Your Heart ~ Learning Respect
"Hidden
Villa does a really good job of teaching children to respect
others. Hidden Villa guides are good models of how to treat
others respectfully. During the day the guides give everyone
in their group the opportunity to speak and share ideas
by making sure to call on all of the kids in the group.
The guides also make sure none of the kids tease others.
The result of the guides treating kids this way is that
everyone in the groups feels good about themselves. When
kids feel good about themselves they’re less likely
to bully other people. Also, the Hidden Villa staff represents
the diversity of our community. We have grown to love all
the people that work at Hidden Villa. Loving people who
are different from ourselves helps us to be
less prejudiced." - Kelsey

"I
really like being in the forest at Hidden Villa because
everyone acts differently. Most people are nicer to
each other by sharing, using polite words and not teasing
each other. People also tend to be themselves more.
It's important to be yourself because you show your
real personality and that way you can have better friendships." -
