We Love Hidden Villa ~ In the Garden Pg #1

At the center of Hidden Villa is the farm. Hidden Villa’s organic gardens teach children where their food comes from. Organic means that the farmers take care of the garden in a natural way without the use of pesticides which can hurt people and the environment. In the children’s garden students learn about the six plant parts. They also become detectives searching for plants that produce many of the common foods we eat everyday. So that they don’t need to purchase chemical fertilizers, Hidden Villa has many compost piles. Students love helping take care of the compost pile and discovering all the fascinating decomposers that live inside. - Whole Class Writing (CLICK "NEXT" FOR PAGE #2)

"What I like about the Hidden Villa garden is that there are a lot of interesting plants and what makes the plants grow is the fertile soil. Hidden Villa uses a lot of nutrients from the compost pile instead of using fertilizers or pesticides that hurt the environment." - Cassandra
